Come and have a sneak peek around Lynsey Jean Henderson Screen Printing Studios this weekend as well as all the other artist studios at Beaverhall Art Studios. A great opportunity to try your hand at a new craft and buy a few Christmas presents while your at it ( cash only as were not yet in the technological age!! ) We will be doing print demonstrations through out the weekend and we will be offering the chance to customers to print there own bag over the weekend too! Come and try your hand at screen printing in this day long taster class.  No experience is necessary just a willingness to get stuck in and get dirty! You will be working in a real life design and print studio within a small and intimate class (6 max) - everyone is welcome.

(Each class meets at 10.45 am for a cup of tea and a wee meet and greet then we start getting inky at 11 am, finishing up at 4 pm.)

To book a class or for more information please email the studio and we can send you out the PDF info pack!  Classes cost £55 and include all basic materials, but feel free to bring your own t-shirts etc to print onto. No lunch is included in the price but Tesco is just along the road and there are a few nice bars and cafes close by. 

The day workshops also make a great gift, if you would like to gift a workshop to a friend just let us know there names and email address and we will do the rest!

If you cancel any workshop booking within 1 week of the date of class, no refund will be made. If Lynsey Jean Henderson Print Studios cancels a workshop for any reason, a full refund will be made to the bill payer.

You will each receive a goodie bag at the start of the class that includes items to print onto  including stockings, tea towels, a make your own christmas bunting kit, aprons and tote bags, but please do also bring your own paper and fabrics to print on as you may wish to print more than the supplied goodies.  All other materials are supplied and all for just £80.  This would also make for a great Christmas present for friends and loved ones.


At the end of the day we will have a little mince pie and a wee glass of mulled wine and have a show and tell of the work that has been produced through out the day.

Scotland Rediscovered Showcase - ICA London

I was lucky enough to be a part of Scottish Enterprises & Textile Scotland's  textile showcase.   The show was collaborated to show London just what kind of textiles Scotland has to offer.  The show exhibited work from mills, weavers, designers and printers.  Below are a selection of photos from the show.  To find out more about the show click here more have a look here!

I just wanted to post the new studio wallpaper and fabric sample packs.  They are available to buy, just email me and we will send one out to you!  The packs are full of good sized samples of all of our wallpapers and fabrics, remember that we can print any of the designs in your colours you like, so just get in touch with us!

Cultural Enterprise Office - Marketing Day Workshop!

Today I was at a Cultural Enterprise Office Marketing Workshop at the Scottish Book Trust on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.   It was a great workshop and I was very impressed with the activities pack we received which was packed full of eye catching projects that we completed throughout the day.

I think the best activity that we completed today was the trolly activity.  We were all given beautifully printed trolleys and we were asked to fill them with words that describe where we are at, where we want to be and how to get there.  It was interesting how similar everyone was in how they felt, be it worries about money or how to market work appropriately.  I would definately recommend the workshops to people and I am looking forward to attending the second of the workshops later this month.
